Cookies & Tracking

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by The Locker Room, why they are used, and how users can control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website or app. They help websites remember sessions, keep users logged in, protect forms, measure activity, and connect third-party services such as payments or embedded widgets.

2. Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Session and CSRF cookies keep the app secure, maintain login state, and protect forms from cross-site request forgery.
  • Authentication cookies: These help identify a logged-in player, club user, or administrator during a session.
  • Billing cookies: Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies when processing payments, fraud prevention, and subscription checkout.
  • Embedded service cookies: The Trustist review widget loads automatically on pages that display the player header and may set cookies or process technical information. External social services may process information after a user follows their links.
  • Preference cookies: The platform may remember interface choices such as selected billing cycle, language, or dashboard state where implemented.

3. Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the app to work and cannot be disabled through the platform. Non-essential cookies should only be used where there is a valid basis and, where required, user consent.

The Trustist widget loads automatically where it is displayed. If analytics, advertising, or additional tracking tools are added later, this policy and the consent experience should be updated before those tools go live.

4. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, login, checkout, profile updates, video uploads, or form submissions may stop working.

5. Third-party services

Third-party providers control their own cookies and privacy practices. Key providers may include Stripe for payments and Trustist for reviews. Users should review those providers' policies for more detail.

These template policies should be reviewed by the business owner and, where appropriate, a qualified legal or safeguarding professional before publication.
